What is in a HIP?

There are number of documents which will be included in a Home Information Pack. Some documents must be included by law and these are known as Required documents. Other documents are allowed to be included and are known as Authorised documents.

Required documents are:

• Index
• Energy Performance Certificate
• Sale statement
• Evidence of titile
• Local authority searches
• Drainage and water searches
• Commonhold information (if applicable)
• Leasehold information (if applicable)

Authorised documents are:

• Home Condition Report
• Legal summary
• Home use form
• Contents form
• Guarantees and warranties
• Additional searches
